Kokoro Fuwari — Let Your Heart Float Away

This work is formed by suspended motifs created with rare washi thread, shaped through traditional handmade washi techniques.

Natural plant-based dyes such as indigo and madder are used, and delicate brilliance is added with silver leaf and mineral pigments.

It is created through Akatsuki’s original sculptural expression, which applies Japanese painting techniques to handmade washi, a traditional Japanese craft.

Transcending the act of weaving motifs, this work sculpts space itself.
