This is a traditional Kadomatsu (New Year’s decoration) created through woodturning techniques, conveying the warmth of wood.
Each piece is carefully carved on a lathe, and the form highlights the beauty of cylindrical shapes, giving a traditional Kadomatsu a fresh, contemporary expression. Designed as a sustainable decoration that can be used year after year, it blends into modern lifestyles while still evoking the solemn and celebratory atmosphere of the New Year.
