円形が連鎖し繋がる姿で、「恒久の調和」「ご縁」に
通ずる「七宝」の吉祥文様の巾着（福と富に恵まれる
袋）に幸せの祈りを込めて 
 
モチーフ：「巾着 七宝」

A drawstring pouch featuring the continuous interlocking circle pattern of the “Shippo” (cloisonné) motif, symbolizing eternal harmony and auspicious connections (“en”). This traditional lucky pattern conveys wishes for lasting balance, meaningful relationships, and good fortune.

As a “kinchaku” (auspicious pouch associated with blessings and prosperity), this piece carries a prayer for happiness and abundance.

福井県生まれ。
３０余年、福井県の研究機関にて公務員として、福井県の地場産業のものづくり支援に長年携わるなかで、越前和紙、漆器等、伝統工芸の素材や技法等に興味と知見をもつ。
ライフワークとして、ヨーロッパ発祥といわれるペーパークイリング（紙を巻いて、装飾する技法）等の紙細工・加工の技法を習得し、洋紙ではなく、越前和紙を用いた創作に取り組む。

国の重要無形文化財（人間国宝）岩野市兵衛氏ご家族との出会いにより、「越前生漉き奉書」の端紙を用いた作品づくりをはじめ、産地職人の方々との交流を深める。展示企画や製品開発等、産地ブランドの発信にむけた活動等、越前和紙素材の可能性と、暮らしへの提案に取り組む。

Born in Fukui, Japan.

For more than thirty years, she worked as a public servant at a research institute in Fukui Prefecture, supporting the development of local industries and manufacturing. Through this work, she cultivated extensive knowledge of the materials and techniques of traditional crafts, including Echizen washi paper and lacquerware.

As a lifelong pursuit, she studied paper craft techniques such as **paper quilling**—an art form believed to have originated in Europe that involves rolling and shaping paper into decorative forms. Rather than using Western paper, she has dedicated her practice to creating works with Echizen washi, exploring its unique beauty and expressive potential.

A chance encounter with the family of Ichibei Iwano, a Living National Treasure of Japan (Holder of an Important Intangible Cultural Property), inspired her to begin creating works using offcuts of **Echizen Kizuki Hōsho** paper. Since then, she has deepened her collaborations with artisans throughout the Echizen washi community.

In addition to her artistic practice, she is actively involved in exhibition planning, product development, and initiatives that promote the regional brand of Echizen washi, continually exploring new possibilities for this traditional material and proposing ways it can enrich contemporary life.
