Green Pheasants
This work uses a piece bearing the words "Preconceived Notions" as a decorative element.
Traditionally, the artwork in a hanging scroll is placed at the center. However, this piece deliberately challenges that convention by positioning the fabric section (kireji) in the center instead.
Furthermore, the fabric itself is full of holes and would normally be considered unsuitable for use, yet it has been intentionally incorporated into the work.
The green paper at the top and bottom is Momigami, a traditional Japanese handcrafted paper created using a historic paper-crumpling technique.
