最も宇宙に近い場所の大気と地球の自転によって生み出され、風の形を写し取ったような巻雲の姿に、あるがままに存在するという自然の摂理を感じながら、それを日本的な素材である和紙と漆を用いて表現しました。
光を吸い込む漆の透明な黒とほとんどの光を反射する金が表裏となって立体と空間を際立たせています。

Formed by the atmosphere closest to outer space and the rotation of the Earth, the cirrus clouds resemble the shape of the wind itself. While sensing the natural principle of simply existing as they are, I expressed this concept using traditional Japanese materials: washi paper and urushi lacquer.
The transparent black of the lacquer, which absorbs light, and the gold, which reflects almost all light, create a contrast between front and back, accentuating both the three-dimensional form and the surrounding space.

三栖紙、美濃紙、国産乾漆漆、金/紙胎　Misu paper, Mino paper, Japanese lacquer, and gold (paper-based dry lacquer technique).
