月明の三段重Tsukiakari Three-Tier Jubako

銀粉とパール白漆の上品な輝きを全面にまとわせた三段重。能登ヒバの木地に漆下地を重ねてから和紙を貼り、銀粉とパール白漆を擦り込んだ。

和紙の肌と銀粉、パール白漆によって月の輝きを湛えているかのよう。光の当たり方や見る角度によって様々な表情を見せる。

A three-tier jubako adorned entirely with the elegant shimmer of silver powder and pearlescent white lacquer. Layers of lacquer undercoating are applied to a Noto hiba wood base, followed by the application of washi paper, into which silver powder and pearlescent white lacquer are carefully rubbed.

The texture of the washi, combined with the silver powder and pearlescent lacquer, evokes the gentle radiance of moonlight. Its appearance changes beautifully depending on the angle of view and the way the light falls upon it.
