やわらかな丸みを帯びたフォルムに、七宝焼の透明感ある色彩が映える一羽の雀。その姿は、フィギュラティブアートとして、日々の暮らしにそっと彩りを添えます。本作は、羽の文様や瞳まで細やかに描き込んだNo.1、No,2モデルをベースに、造形や銀線をよりシンプルに整えた特別仕様。簡素化することで生まれた、軽やかな印象と親しみやすさが魅力です。銅板から打ち出された立体造形に、何層も施釉と焼成を重ね、七宝ならではの深い発色と艶を宿しました。インテリアとして飾れば、ふと視線が合うたびに、小さな生命のぬくもりと、日本の伝統工芸が息づく時間を感じていただけます。こちらはno.11で、ほかのナンバーもあります。作って増やすことも可能。

Softly rounded in form, this single sparrow features the luminous, translucent colors of cloisonné enamel, which gently enhance its presence. As a figurative artwork, it brings a quiet touch of color to everyday life.

This piece is based on the No.1 and No.2 models, where even the feather patterns and eyes are rendered in fine detail, but has been reimagined as a special edition with a more simplified form and refined silver wirework. By reducing ornamental complexity, the work achieves a lighter impression and a more approachable character.

The three-dimensional form is raised from a copper plate through hand-hammering, then repeatedly glazed and fired in multiple layers. This process gives the piece the deep coloration and rich gloss unique to cloisonné enamel.

When displayed as interior art, it offers a subtle sense of warmth and life—inviting moments where the gaze naturally meets its quiet presence, allowing one to feel the living breath of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
素材・技法

クリスタルガラス、銅、銀　Crystal Glass / Copper / Silver　技法 一枚の銅板を叩き出し雀形に形成し七宝にて装飾しました。 ひとつひとつ表情が違います。　Technique: A single sheet of copper was hammered and shaped into the form of a sparrow, then decorated using cloisonné enamel. Each piece has a unique expression.

Tamura Yuki graduated from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Art and Design, Musashino Art University in 2008.

While still a student, her work *Kingyo Shippo Vase* received critical acclaim, marking the beginning of her career as a contemporary cloisonné artist. Alongside her artistic practice, she began live performance activities and released numerous music CDs.

Her works have been selected for prestigious exhibitions including the Japan Cloisonné Artists Association Exhibition, the National Traditional Crafts Competition, the Takaoka Craft Competition, and the MUFG Craft Project. She has also received numerous awards, including the JAPAN POP CULTURE AWARD (2015), the Aichi Ama City Board of Education Chairman's Award at the Shippo New Works Exhibition (2018), the BeautyJapan Japan Grand Prix (2019), the Special Prize at the Japan Wa Culture Grand Prix (2021), the Ama City Council Chairman's Award at the Shippo New Works Exhibition (2023), and the Excellence Award at the Japan Wa Culture Grand Prix (2025).

In 2020, she held the solo exhibition **Tamura Yuki: Cutting-Edge** at Matsuzakaya Nagoya Main Store, followed by **Tamura Shippo Crafts Exhibition** at the World Doll Museum in 2024.

Through innovative approaches to traditional Japanese cloisonné (*shippo*), she continues to create works that bridge craftsmanship, contemporary art, and design.
