The folding screen is made lightweight by layering multiple sheets of Japanese paper over a lattice frame, with the hinges also made of paper. This time, we created a 'furo-saki byobu,' a folding screen used in tea ceremonies, with my father painting the artwork. 'Azumino' is the name of the place where we live. It is a naturally rich area surrounded by high mountains in Japan.

This is a collaborative work with my father. To further enhance the refreshing atmosphere of the artwork depicting the Azumino landscape, we used a fabric made by hand-shifting silk threads to create a flowing shape."
